There are few things more disgusting that a robbery that affects the family of a man who just died, but that's what happened last week to the family of Junior Seau.

Just five days after the great linebacker took his own life, some sorry excuses for humanity broke into Seau's home, went through cabinets in the garage, and stole a bicycle that belonged to a friend of Seau's.

Oceanside police Lt. Leonard Mata said that the stolen bike is gray with chrome fenders and a black seat, and there are 143 spokes in each wheel. Whoever broke in didn't enter the house -- just the garage. Nothing else was taken. The estimated value of the bike is approximately $500.

On May 7, at approximately 9:35 a.m., Seau's girlfriend placed a 911 call indicating that she had found the body of the future Hall-of-Fame linebacker in a spare bedroom of his home. The death was suspected to be, and was later ruled, a suicide.

Seau, a 12-time Pro Bowler and 6-time First-Team All-Pro, was selected fifth overall in the 1990 NFL draft after an outstanding collegiate career at USC. He played with the San Diego Chargers through the 2002 season, spent 2003-2005 with the Miami Dolphins, and then signed with the New England Patriots in time for the 2006 season. In New England's perfect regular season of 2007, he played in all 16 games and started four. Seau first retired after that season, only to come back and play in 2008 and 2009 before finally leaving the NFL for good.

"I'm going to go surf," he told Showtime upon his January, 2010 retirement announcement. Whatever happens, I can honestly say, that that probably was my last game."

Seau committed suicide by shooting himself in the chest, which is similar to the way former Chicago Bears great Dave Duerson ended his life. Duerson shot himself in the chest on February 17, 2011 -- the method used so that his brain could be examined for symptoms of CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy), a trauma-induced disease common to NFL players and others who have received repeated blows to the head. Emelianenko has fought twice since being cut by Strikeforce, racking up a decision win over Jeff Monson and finishing Satoshi Ishii on New Year's Eve in Japan.

Prior to that Emelianenko lost three straight fights in Strikeforce. First he was submitted by Fabricio Werdum and then TKO'd by Antonio Silva and Dan Henderson. Bob Sapp walks down an entrance ramp, does his Ric Flair shtick with the music and feathery robe, mean mugs a bit in the ring and then after 40 seconds of fighting before quitting, he's collecting his $50,000 check.

It's a scene that MMA fans have become familiar with and one that is happening way too often. Bob Sapp is fantastic at hyping fights and because of who he is; he knows that people will always tune in. The problem isn't Bob in my eyes, either—it's the promoters who use him to put their name talent over.

We're not watching because Bob's a world beater and gets highlight reel knockouts. No, we're tuning in because we want to see how Bob will throw another fight. And yes, that's exactly what he's doing. By not giving an honest effort and tapping out at the first sign of danger, he's throwing the fight. Sure, there may not be money changing hands or a prefight discussion regarding a fix, but without giving a real effort, he's throwing the fight.

And Sunday was just another example of the "Bob Sapp show." At KSW 19 in Poland, Bob was across the ring from from World's Strongest Man, Mariusz Pudzianowski.

KSW has been desperate to get Pudz wins so they can legitimize him as a draw. It doesn't matter how they do it, either. At KSW 17, a "judging error" almost awarded Pudz a win in a fight where he looked absolutely atrocious. So why on earth should I not believe there was foul play at hand when the promoter has such a vested interest in their hometown fighter?

If Poland had an athletic commission they would have likely suspended him for 30 days no contact following the TKO, as well as a 60-day suspension for facial lacerations. However, since they do not, Bob will continue the "Bob Sapp tour," and the next stop is next week against Sao Palelei at CFC 21 in Sydney, Australia.

New South Wales has an athletic commission, but I expect Sapp to put on his monthly performance on fight night. He'll make a wacky YouTube video, say something cheesy at the weigh-ins, and then lose within 40 seconds again. It's what he does these days. He's 1-9 in his last 10, and you can expect that to drop to 1-10 after Palelei. And I'll tune in. Because I want to see Bob Sapp perform.

Basically, what I'm saying is that if we want to blame anyone, we have to look no further than ourselves. He'll stop getting booked when we stop watching. And I don't plan on stopping any time soon.

UFC veteran Magalhaes won the M-1 light heavyweight belt last April and defended it in October, but then found himself in a long, public squabble with M-1 management. He and M-1 director of operations Evgeni Kogan have exchanged nasty insults over Twitter after Magalhaes was not happy with the fights the Russian-based promotion was making, and Kogan supposedly coached one of Magalhaes' opponents from ringside, a huge no-no for a promoter who should be unbiased.

Since Magalhaes said he is through his contract and wants to move on from the promotion, he has no reason to hold on to the belt. He put it on eBay, starting bids at $0.09. At the time of writing, it's up to $2,605. Magalhaes tweeted the link and told Kogan, "Hey buddy, you wanted your belt back? #placeyourbid it's on @ebay :)"

When he didn't show up for Press Conferences in the past, Diaz got punished and even cost him a title shot against Georges St. Pierre. He says he just didn't enjoy attending "beauty pageants", but he would never ditch a fight anyway.

That's exactly what he did tonight though. Diaz had a grappling super-fight against Braulio Estima set, with his entire purse was supposed to be donated to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. It was supposed to be an excellent way to keep him active during his time off from licensing issues due to his Marijuana positive test. It was supposed to be a good way to keep his name in the press, and to help a good cause at the same time.

During the main event of the World Jiujitsu Expo, Braulio Estima was left alone on the mat, sitting on his knees, with Diaz no where to be found. Robert Drysdale offered to step in to face him, but Estima declined, saying "I came to fight Nick Diaz".
Not only did Diaz ditch a high-profile BJJ match, he ditched a charity he promised to support.


When Cesar Gracie was asked, he said he had no idea where his star pupil was or why he decided to no-show:

"I don't know," Cesar Gracie told MMAFighting.com. "I know he was mad when he was told Braulio would not make weight last night," Gracie said. "No one has seen him today. Braulio ended up making weight this morning."

Estima wasn't happy about the outcome.
